Sadie is a beautiful little girl who is patiently waiting for her new home. Her sisters have all been adopted, and she would love a new home too!
Please join us at the Animals R Us Festival, organized by the Northumberland Humane Society, on July 25! The Festival is in it's 5th year and will be bigger and better than ever.
Guinea Pigs R Us has reserved a booth where we will be selling GPRU merchandise, guinea pig products as well as cat and dog toys/supplies. We may even have a few GPRU "mascots" on hand, weather permitting. A raffle is also being organized, tune in for further details.
For more information on the Festival, please see the Northumberland Humane Society's Event page:

The Guinea Pigs R Us Annual Yard Sale is in the works! We are now collecting donations for our annual yard sale, which will be taking place in early August this year. A firm date will follow. Ideas for things we would appreciate:
Books
DVDs
Toys
Knick Knacks
Household appliances
Electronics
Small furniture items (no large pieces will be sold at the sale due to lack of storage space)
Our website has been updated! Check it out at guineapigsrusrescue.com.
Guinea Pigs R Us is a small scale rescue dedicated to saving the lives of guinea pigs at risk of euthanasia in area shelters. We rely solely on foster homes to house and care for our residents. All the guinea pigs and other small animals in our care receive appropriate veterinary treatment when needed - all of which is either paid for by the staff of Guinea Pigs R Us or funded by personal donations.
We currently do not accept personal surrenders. The volume of guinea pigs at risk of euthanasia in area shelters prohibits us from accepting guinea pigs already in safe homes. Because the rescue was formed to save lives, we are morally obligated to reserve any spots for those animals truly at risk.
To inquire about adopting one of the pets you see listed on this site, please email us for more information. From there, you will be asked to fill out a detailed adoption application which will be reviewed by a GPRU representative. If the application is approved, a meeting will be arranged so we can get to know you and you can get to know the pet you have applied to adopt. The final step is signing an adoption contract.
Guinea Pigs R Us does not adopt out guinea pigs to live alone. They must either be adopted out in pairs or, if they come to the rescue alone, be adopted out into a home where they will have a suitable cagemate. We do not adopt out guinea pigs to live with rabbits or other animals. A suitable cagemate for a guinea pig is another guinea pig of the same sex or an altered guinea pig of the opposite sex. We also do not adopt out guinea pigs to be classroom pets, as we don't believe this is a suitable environment for pets.
Also please be advised that Guinea Pigs R Us has cage size requirements for our adoptors based on the information found at this site: guineapigcages.com. We want to ensure that all our little charges end up in homes where they will be healthy and happy for the rest of their lives!
